October Celebrations

Adopt a Shelter Dog Monthblack dog shaking hands with a human

How do you plan to celebrate Adopt a Shelter Dog Month? We suggest visiting KC Pet Project, our local dog shelter, to adopt! Though it’s a more common practice to get a dog as a puppy, adopting from a shelter can change a difference in the life of the dog you’d be adopting. Shelter dogs need homes, so welcome one to yours by adopting today!

A Star Is Born

We suggest going to see A Star Is Born this month. It comes out in theaters on Friday, October 5th. Seasoned musician Jackson Maine discovers -- and falls in love with -- struggling artist Ally. She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer until Jackson coaxes her into the spotlight. But even as Ally's career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jackson fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons. First Man

We suggest going to see First Man this month. It comes out in theaters on Friday, October 12th. Astronaut Neil Armstrong embarks on a historic and dangerous mission to the moon in 1969. We’re thrilled to see what First Man gives us!

The First Purge

You can find The First Purge on DVD after Thursday, October 4th. To push the crime rate below one percent for the rest of the year, the New Founding Fathers of America test a sociological theory that vents aggression for one night in one isolated community. But when the violence of oppressors meets the rage of the others, the contagion will explode from the trial-city borders and spread across the nation. We think you'll love The First Purge. Rent it at your local Redbox today!

The Darkest Minds

Looking for a new movie to see this month? Rent The Darkest Minds. It comes out on DVD on Tuesday, October 30th. When teens mysteriously develop powerful new abilities, they are seen as a threat by the government and sent to detainment camps. Sixteen-year-old Ruby soon escapes from her captors and joins other runaways who are seeking a safe haven. Banded together and on the run, they soon combine their collective powers to fight the adults who tried to take away their future. We think The Darkest Minds is a must-see. Rent it for a thrilling night in.
