Read on to learn more about these topics in today's blog post.

November Celebrations

National Novel Writing MonthA person next to a pile of books, writing

Also known as NaNoWriMo by writers everywhere, this month is a good time to get back to doing what you love most: writing. You can celebrate NaNoWriMo whether you have in the past or not! Wherever or not you already have a piece of writing you want to work on, November is a great time to start fresh. Writers everywhere take this month as a chance to really double down on their work and just write. The point isn’t to make it perfect or even all that great. It’s to start the writing. So grab your computer, get typing, and maybe you’ll even get a novel finished.

Clean Your Refrigerator DayA woman cleaning out her fridge

Falling on November 15th, Clean Your Refrigerator Day is the time to get your home ready for Thanksgiving! If you’re going to be hosting a meal, take the time to remove any old, expired, or useless food so you can make space for the leftovers you’re bound to have after feasting on Thanksgiving. It can get easy to forget that you’ve left certain things in the refrigerator, so there might be a lot to clean out.

Upcoming Holidays

World Kindness Day

Being kind is supposed to be the norm, but World Kindness Day is a great day for people to be united in kindness. Celebrate the day by reaching out and performing an act of kindness for someone random or someone who you think is deserving of a little extra kindness.

ThanksgivingA plate full of Thanksgiving stuffing, mashed potatoes, and turkey

Thanksgiving is at the end of the month! Friends and family will gather together to enjoy a feast of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy! As delicious as the food will be, remember that Thanksgiving is about giving thanks and expressing gratitude for the good things that have happened in your life. If the people you wish to thank are present at your meal, thank them personally!
